The sculptress Sandra Nejašmić Pirnat  was born in Split in Dalmatia on 11 September 1970. After finishing grammar school she started to study sculpture at the Zagreb Academy of Arts. See took her degree in 1995 with the first award for her marble portrait of pope Jon Paul II. From 1997 to 2009 she was professor on the School of Fine Arts and Design in Pula in Istria.As a member of Istrian association of artist and the Dalmatian association of Artist she participated on several exhibitions in Croatia and abroad.

In 2002 she started to create her outdoor studio ˝My peace˝in Postira on the island of Brač where is her home. 2006 she organised a cultural association ˝Kogula˝ and performed several art exhibitions and arte performances in her outdoor studio in Postira. Since then she has been a regular visitor of quarries of the Brač island which are wordy known of its first rate white stones. She work predominantly there.
